Sepak Takraw Tournament: NPT Council Chairman awarded championship trophy

The final match and award ceremony of the 2026 Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman’s Cup Inter-Township U-23 Men’s Sepak Takraw Tournament was held Monday morning at the Nay Pyi Taw Sports Stadium in the Union Territory.

First, Patron of Nay Pyi Taw Sports and Physical Education Committee and Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Kan Myint Than and responsible officials watched and encouraged the highly contested four-player team final match between the Tatkon Township team and the Pyinmana Township team.

Afterward, the award ceremony commenced. Officials presented individual medals and cash prizes to the best players of the tournament, as well as to the first, second, and third-place teams in both the three-player and four-player team events. Patron of Nay Pyi Taw Sports and Physical Education Committee and Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Kan Myint Than, then presented the championship trophy to the first-prize-winning Pyinmana Township team in the four-player team event, it’s reported.
