Inter-School Women’s Football: Inter-school women’s football tourney opened

The opening ceremony of the 2026 State Chief Minister’s Cup U-19 Inter-School Women’s Football Tournament was held Monday morning at the State Sports Stadium in Daw-U Khu Ward, Loikaw of Kayah State. The event was attended by State Chief Minister U Ant Maw, the Speaker of the State Hluttaw, the State Chief Justice, state ministers, departmental officials, invited guests, athletes, managers, coaches, and sports enthusiasts.

At the opening ceremony, the State Chief Minister delivered an opening address and, alongside responsible officials, presented honorary cash awards to the entertainment groups.

Afterward, they watched the opening match between the B.E.H.S (Lawpita) team and the Institute of Sports and Physical Education school team.

The tournament will run from July 6 to July 17, featuring a total of eight competing teams, it’s reported.
