Embassy Visit: Meeting with the staff of Myanmar Embassy

President U Min Aung Hlaing met with staff of the Myanmar Embassy, Military Attaché Office, and Myanmar scholars, during his state visit in Laos on Saturday. 

In his address, the President noted that this visit to Laos is his first visit to ASEAN member state after assuming office. He highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Myanmar and Laos and said efforts are underway to upgrade relations to a strategic partnership.

He also encouraged embassy and military attache office staff to work for further improvement of relations between the two countries.

The President also stated that Myanmar is continuing on a multi-party democratic path and said a free and fair election had been successfully held, with the elected government is now carrying out state responsibilities.

He urged embassy staff and trainees to use their free time to study English, AI, and computer technologies, and advised trainees to learn the Lao language to improve communication skills.

The President also presented foodstuff and cash awards to embassy staff, military personnel, and trainees. He also inspected the new Myanmar Embassy building under construction, and the Military Attaché Office.
