






Cash rewards and honorary certificates were presented for the transfer of the ancient artifacts through a ceremony held at the Ministry of Hotels, Tourism and Culture in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.
Union Minister U Maung Myint attended the ceremony and delivered a speech, expressing his appreciations to those who relinquished the ancient artifacts to the government, aiming to secure the long-term resilience of the ancient artifacts, to prevent illegal trading and to serve as a reference for further study.
At the ceremony, over 20.5 million kyat was presented to U Than Zaw from Myithar Township of Mandalay Region who relinquished 313 ancient artifacts, over 3.1 million kyat to U Win Min Tun from Myo Thit Township of Magway Region who relinquished 98 ancient artifacts, over 1.7 million kyat to U Naing Lin from Zabuthiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area who relinquished 125 ancient artifacts and over 900,000 kyat to U Win Ko Ko from Pyinmana Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area who relinquished 36 ancient artifacts respectively along with the honorary certificates.
