





A high-level Myanmar delegation led by President U Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla arrived in Vientiane of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, on Friday for a State Visit at the invitation of Laotian President Thongloun Sisoulith.
The delegation departed from Tatmadaw Airport in Nay Pyi Taw and was seen off by the Vice Presidents, the Speakers of the Pyithu and Amyotha Hluttaws, the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Union Ministers, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, the Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, and officials from the Lao Embassy and Military Attaché Office in Myanmar. On arrival at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane, the delegation was welcomed by Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Myanmar's Ambassador to Laos, the Myanmar Military Attaché, and other officials, along with an honour guard, while Laotian children presented bouquets and Lao Scouts waved the national flags of both countries.
During the visit, President U Min Aung Hlaing will hold bilateral talks with President Thongloun Sisoulith and meet with the Prime Minister and the President of the National Assembly of Laos. He is also scheduled to meet provincial leaders and visit prominent landmarks and ancient pagodas. The visit aims to further strengthen the longstanding friendship and expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Myanmar and Laos through cordial and open exchanges.
