







To honor and welcome Myanmar Women's Day, which falls on July 3, 2026, a tree planting ceremony organized by the Myanmar National Committee on Women was held on July 2, on ThitKhwa Main Road, between Chindwin Street (2) and (4), in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw.
Chair of the Myanmar National Committee on Women and Union Minister for Women's Affairs, Dr. Thet Thet Zin, led the event by planting a Gantgaw sapling at the designated site. Attendees then joyfully planted a total of 150 saplings, including perennial shade trees, in their respective designated areas.
In the afternoon, a paper reading session organized by the Myanmar National Committee on Women and conducted by the Myanmar Women's Affairs Federation (MWAF) was held at the MWAF Headquarters in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw.
At the session, Professor Dr. Khin Swe Myint, Leader of the Social and Cultural Group of the Federation, served as the chairperson.
The respective authors read their papers on the topics of "The Capabilities, Rights, and Legal Protection of Myanmar Women," "From the Pearl Jubilee to the Digital Era: The Evolving Role of Myanmar Women through AI Technology," and "Combating Human Trafficking and Providing Legal Protection to Victims, Particularly Women.".
