Providing Business Equipment: MGY CM attended and delivered the opening remarks

A ceremony to present business equipment to 35 trainees who will establish their own businesses after completing training courses conducted under the Magway District Local Small-Scale Manufacturing Development and Rural Household Income Enhancement Project was held Thursday at the Magway City Hall. Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko attended the event and delivered an opening address.

In his remarks, the Chief Minister said that, based on the needs of local residents, seven training courses including tailoring, food processing, motorcycle repair, and consumer goods production, had been conducted within a 100-day period. He added that business equipment would be provided to 35 outstanding trainees through the State's programme and the Magway Region Government's fund. He encouraged the trainees to combine the skills they had acquired with the equipment provided to produce high-quality, safe products and strive to become successful entrepreneurs.

Afterwards, Daw Su Su Khaing, Director of the Department of Small-Scale Industries of Magway Region, explained the implementation of the Local Small-Scale Manufacturing Development and Rural Household Income Enhancement Project. A documentary video highlighting the activities of the Department in Magway Region was also presented.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister, the Speaker of Magway Region Hluttaw, and other responsible officials presented business equipment to the trainees who will be starting their own businesses. On behalf of the recipients, one trainee expressed words of thanks. Following the ceremony, the Chief Minister and officials toured the exhibition of the business equipment on display, it’s reported.
