Myanmar-Bangladesh: MOFA UM received Ambassador of Bangladesh

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Tin Maung Swe received the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar, Dr. Mohammad Monwar Hossain, at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw at 2:00 p.m. on June 9, 2026.

During the meeting, they discussed enhancing cooperation in areas beneficial to both countries, as well as cooperating in the repatriation process of displaced persons from Rakhine State based on good-neighborly relations and genuine goodwill. They also discussed the status of Myanmar’s verification of the lists of displaced persons submitted by the Bangladesh side for scrutiny, and cooperation in the process of accepting back those who had actually resided in Rakhine State, it’s learnt.
