




The 3rd day of the 2nd Regular Session of the 3rd Amyotha Hluttaw was held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the Amyotha Hluttaw meeting hall at the Hluttaw building in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the session, Union Minister for Education Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein responded to starred questions raised by Amyotha Hluttaw representatives U Aung Chit Lwin of Sagaing Region Constituency No. (2) and U Sein Shwe Min of Magway Region Constituency No. (4).
Following this, Hluttaw representatives discussed the draft law on combating online scam. Next, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe announced that the Amyotha Hluttaw Bill Committee had decided to review and respond to the discussions made by the Hluttaw representatives.
Afterwards, U Aung Chit Lwin, Amyotha Hluttaw representative from Sagaing Region Constituency No. (2), submitted a proposal urging the Union Government to promptly address the shortage of teachers in basic education schools nationwide.
The proposal was seconded by U Thein Hlaing, Amyotha Hluttaw representative from Sagaing Region Constituency No. (7). The Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker then sought the approval of the Hluttaw on whether the proposal should be discussed.
As the Hluttaw agreed, it was announced that the proposal would be discussed, and representatives wishing to participate in the discussion could submit their names to the Director-General of the Amyotha Hluttaw Office. The session then adjourned the third day of the Second Regular Session of the Third Amyotha Hluttaw, and it was announced that the fourth day of the meeting would continue on June 11, it’s reported.
