Regional Tourism Comm. Meeting: NPT Council Chairman delivered the opening remarks

The 2/2026 meeting of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Regional Tourism Committee was held Monday morning at the Meeting Hall (1) of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Office. Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council in his capacity as the Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council Regional Tourism Committee, U Kan Myint Than, attended and delivered the opening remarks.

First, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman delivered the opening speech, stating that the 2/2026 meeting of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Regional Tourism Committee was being held with the aim of ensuring continuous efforts for the development of the tourism industry within the Nay Pyi Taw Council area. He said that, in line with the guidance of the Head of State to transform Nay Pyi Taw into a “Clean City, Green City, Smart City,” efforts are being made across all sectors, and that the tourism sector should also cooperate and participate collectively. He added that the meeting was also intended to strengthen cooperation between the government and the private sector, among other matters.

Afterward, Vice Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Regional Tourism Committee and Nay Pyi Taw Council member U Min Oo, together with the committee secretary U Zaw Lwin Htet, explained and presented matters related to tourism.

Subsequently, attendees discussed and presented issues according to their respective sectors, and the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman coordinated and facilitated the necessary actions and arrangements, it’s reported.
