Implementing Lamin Project: MOIP UM inspected implementation of Lamin Project

The Union Minister for Immigration and Population, U Myint Kyaing, Tuesday morning visited and encouraged the implementation of the “La Min” project at the No. 4 Basic Education High School Branch (Myet To) in Pathein, Ayeyawady Region, where citizenship scrutiny cards and UID numbers were being issued to students aged 10 and above who had not yet received their citizenship cards.

First, the Union Minister observed the activities carried out by township health staff, including blood type testing for the students, verification procedures in accordance with citizenship regulations, and the collection of biographic and biometric data under the e-ID system to issue both a citizenship scrutiny card and a unique UID simultaneously. He then presented the already-issued citizenship cards and UID numbers to the respective students and provided financial support and refreshments to the township office staff.

 Then, the Union Minister subsequently met with region, district, and township directors at the Ayeyawady Region Director’s Office, where he coordinated and addressed the necessary matters based on the presentations made by responsible officials, it’s learnt.
