









Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development, U Myo Zaw Thein, along with relevant responsible officials, conducted field inspections of cooperative-based agricultural, livestock, and production activities, as well as rural development implementation status, in Meiktila and Yamethin districts, Mandalay Region Tuesday morning.
First, the Union Minister and officials arrived at the Meiktila District Rural Development Department office and met with responsible officials. The regional directors of departments under the Ministry presented on their operational status, and the Union Minister provided necessary guidance and instructions.
Subsequently, the Union Minister and officials inspected the cooperatives-system dairy farming project implemented with funds from the Emerald Green Village Project in Magyipinpu Village, Meiktila Township; met with and encouraged trainees at a basic sewing machine course being conducted at the village community hall; inspected the asphalt paving work on the Pyawkone Okpho inter-village road from the township bypass, undertaken by the Meiktila Township Rural Development Department; met with local farmers at the Nyaung Myint Village community hall in Meiktila Township to discuss necessary matters; made a field inspection of the ongoing concrete paving work on village roads in Pan Tin Village, Meiktila Township; and met with executives of the Shwe Moe Ngwe Moe Agricultural and General Cooperative Society, member farmers, and local residents in the paddy field of U Thar Maung, a cooperative farmer in Ingyingan (Main) Village, Yamethin Township.
During these visits, the Union Minister provided necessary guidance and discussions, and coordinated to address the requests submitted by local farmers, it’s reported.
