Ground-breaking Ceremony: YGN Region CM attended the ceremony

The ground-breaking ceremony for the Grand Hlaing Thar Yar (Premium) housing project, jointly undertaken by the Yangon Region Government and Myanmar Art Construction And Development Co., Ltd., was held Monday morning at the project site in Hlaing Thar Yar (West) Township, Insein District, Yangon Region.

Subsequently, the congregation led by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu took the Five Precepts from the Chair Sayadaw of the State Saṅgha Mahānāyaka Committee, the presiding patron of Thanlyin Min Kyaung Pahtamabyan Sarthintaik Monastery Dr. Bhaddanta Cāṇḍimābhivaṃsa.

Afterwards, the lay devotees offered the ceremonial stake, the mallet, and the blessed water, sand, thread, and flowers to the venerable Sayadaws and then listened to the paritta suttas recited by the members of Sangha.

Following this, the lay devotees carried the blessed water, sand, flowers, and thread to the designated building sites, where they sprinkled, tied, and placed them according to tradition.

Then, the Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu and responsible officials offered donations to the venerable Sayadaws.

After that, the Chief Minister and responsible officials performed the ceremonial simultaneous nine-time striking of the ground-breaking stakes at designated spots and sprinkled scented water.

Then, the Yangon Region Chief Minister and officials inspected the progress of works being carried out to create a park with shade trees, ornamental plants, and resting benches along a 70-foot-wide stretch from Bogyoke Aung San Road to Mingalar Road on the Yangon-Pathein Road in Hlaing Thar Yar (East) Township. Responsible officials briefed on the ongoing work, and the Region Chief Minister provided necessary guidance, it’s reported.
