The First Day of the second regular session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw was held today, on June 2nd, at 10:00 AM in the Pyithu Hluttaw Meeting Hall in Nay Pyi Taw.

As per the agenda, four members of the Pyithu Hluttaw Tatmadaw personnel representatives took their oaths of office and signed the oath register.

After that, the Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw delivered an opening address and presented to the Hluttaw the activities undertaken by the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the Pyithu Hluttaw during the period between the first and second regular sessions of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw. The Hluttaw recorded these matters.

Subsequently, the Hluttaw recorded congratulatory messages sent to the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw.

Following this, during the question-and-answer session, six questions were raised. Among them, U Kyaw Nyein Aung from Tachileik constituency asked whether the relevant ministry has a plan to supervise and take action regarding transactions of motor vehicles being bought and sold at prices more than double the standard rates set for taxation by the Internal Revenue Department, and if such a plan exists, within what timeframe it will be implemented. U Kaung Thet San from Thipaw constituency asked when electricity will be available in Thipaw Township, Kyaukme District, Shan State (North), and what the distribution plan will be. Deputy Minister for Finance and Revenue U Han Win Aung and Deputy Minister for Electricity and Energy U Kyaw Naing Win provided clarifications in response to these and other questions. It is reported that the meeting was then temporarily adjourned.
