Inspection of Wood Products Factory: MONREC UM inspected wood products factory

The Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, U San Oo, accompanied by responsible officials, visited the National Wood finished wood products factory in Dagon Myothit (East) Township Monday morning to inspect the production and export of finished wood products.

During the visit, the Union Minister instructed factory officials to make effective use of available timber raw materials without waste, increase the production of value-added finished wood products, and work toward generating greater foreign exchange earnings for the country. He also gave other necessary guidance before touring the factory to inspect its manufacturing operations.

The Union Minister and officials then proceeded to the Ywathargyi Forest Nursery, where they inspected the cultivation and maintenance of nursery seedlings.

The Union Minister reviewed the conditions of the nursery, provided necessary instructions, and toured the facility to observe the propagation and care of the seedlings, it’s reported.
