Myanmar-India: Myanmar and India Presidents met and held discussions

The President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, U Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently on an official visit to the Republic of India, met and held discussions with the President of the Republic of India, Smt. (Shrimati) Droupadi Murmu, in the evening on June 1st at the reception hall of the Presidential Palace.

First, the President of the Republic of India warmly welcomed and greeted the President of Myanmar, followed by their meeting and discussions.

During the meeting, they openly and cordially exchanged views on matters including India’s full support and encouragement for Myanmar’s political developments and the current administration’s efforts for national development, the status of ongoing bilateral cooperation projects and plans to ensure their completion within scheduled timelines, the continued efforts to enhance bilateral trade and investment, the preservation of shared cultural heritage and the further promotion of tourism cooperation between the two countries, the enduring ties as close and friendly nations, the sharing of experiences for the advancement of women’s empowerment and the continued strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

Subsequently, the President of Myanmar signed the Visitors’ Book at the Presidential Palace, it’s reported.
