Work Coordination Meeting : Rehabilitation and reconstruction in Chin State

A Work Coordination Meeting on rehabilitation and reconstruction of Falam, Tiddim and Tonzan of Chin State was held in Tiddim on Sunday.

Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Than Soe, in his capacity the Chairman of the Committee on Rehabilitation and Reconstruction in Chin State, delivered a speech. Attendees participated in discussion on providing rice for returnees, time distribution of construction materials and relief items to respective areas and fuel supply for the machinery.

They also emphasized collaboration and cooperation among the related departments for rehabilitation works in 3 townships.

The Deputy Minister then coordinated the necessaries. It is learnt that 8-ton of rice donated by People’s Republic of China under the APTERR plan for government staff and people who returned to Falam, Tiddim and Tonzan, had already arrived in Kalay via Tatmadaw air. Arrangements are underway further distribution to respective townships.
