Modern Warehouse : Ensuring quality storage and packaging of Agri-products

As one of the 100-day plan projects of the government, the modern warehouse No.1 of the Myanma Agricultural and General Development Public Company Limited (MAGDPL) was commissioned into service under the supervision of Myanma Port Authority of the Ministry of Transport at Plot No.29, Thilawa Port on Sunday.

The ceremony was graced with the attendance of the Union Minister U Mya Tun Oo. In his opening speech, the Union Minister highlighted the crucial role of private sector in nation’s socio-economic development and effective utilization of economic corridors which were emerged due to changes in world trade route. 

He urged officials to implement Port Community System with the concerted efforts of the relevant individuals.

Highlighting the pivotal role of terminals within Thilawa in enhancing transit trade and transshipment process, the Union Minister encouraged the swift construction of 3 remaining warehouses and acceleration of on-going and planned construction processes in Thilawa Port. 

After hearing reports and clarification presented by the concerned officials, the Union Minister made a tour to the exhibitions in the warehouse and gave instructions on quality storage and packaging of Agri-products to secure the international market.
