Parliamentary Affairs: Meeting with parliamentarians in Yangon

Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw U Khin Yi met with Yangon Region Hluttaw Speaker U Htay Aung and Deputy Speaker U Kyaw Kyaw Soe, as well as Bill Committee, Legal Affairs and Special Cases Assessment Commission members and retired prosecutors at Yangon Region Hluttaw Office on Friday.

First, Yangon Region Hluttaw Speaker presented reports on formation of Legal Affairs and Special Cases Assessment Commission.

In his speech, the Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker encouraged to amend, supplement and replace the laws which are irrelevant to the current situation and scenario and to enact the new laws in conformity with the changing trend of age. He elaborated to ensure peace and stability of the citizens under the protection of law.

The speaker also emphasized on enacting laws which can contribute to the interest of the nation and acceleration of Anti-online scam law formalization.

Next, Yangon Region Hluttaw Speaker, Deputy Speaker and attendees made sector-wise discussions and reports. Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker then supplemented the discussions and concluded the meeting.

Later, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker cordially met with the Hluttaw representatives, attending Planning, Budgeting and Financial Management Workshop at Yangon Region Hluttaw Office training room.
