An international science competition, “Icebreaker of Knowledge 2026”, organized by Russia’s ROSATOM organization, is inviting students from Myanmar and 22 other countries to participate in the event. Students aged 14 to 16 can join the contest for a chance to win a free 10-day scientific expedition to the North Pole in August 2026 aboard a nuclear-powered icebreaker ship.

During the trip, students will have the opportunity to learn from scientists, science communicators, and experts while exploring the Arctic region. The competition will run in three stages from May 5 to June 15. The top 10 winners with the highest scores will receive the special study trip award. Participants must register online for free by June 3, 2026 through the official website goarctic.energy. The competition includes an online science quiz, participation in webinars about Arctic technologies and innovations and a final video presentation round. Winners will be announced in June.
