Opening of School Enrollment Poster : Rakhine State CM formally opened the ground poster

The opening ceremony for the ground poster of the 2026–2027 academic year Rakhine State-level School Enrollment Week and the School Enrollment Day ceremony were held Wednesday morning in front of U Ottama Park and at the hall in Sittwe.

The Rakhine State Chief Minister U Naing Oo and his wife, together with the Speaker of the State Hluttaw, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the state-level School Enrollment Week ground posters held in front of U Ottama Park. They also sprayed scented water on the ground posters as part of the opening ceremony.

At the 2026–2027 academic year Rakhine State-level School Enrollment Day ceremony held at U Ottama Hall, the Chief Minister stated that local officials, social organizations, parents, teachers, and the public should regard it as a national duty to ensure that every school-age child has the opportunity to attend school and should carry out this responsibility with seriousness and commitment.

Then, the Chief Minister and his wife, who is also the patron of the State Maternal and Child Welfare Supervisory Committee, along with the Speaker of the State Hluttaw and other officials, distributed school textbooks and stationery to students for the 2026–2027 academic year.

On the evening of May 26, the Chief Minister visited the Rakkhapura Buddhist University and the Mrauk-U Dhamma Center located in Sat Yoe Kya  Ward, Sittwe. They paid homage to the Sayadaw of the 18-Mile Forest Dhamma Retreat. The Chief Minister discussed religious affairs and donated offertory funds for religious purposes.

After that, the Chief Minister and officials visited the Yechanpyin  shrimp hatchery station in Sittwe Township. They inspected the hatchery, sterilization ponds, and earthen aquaculture ponds within the station and coordinated with responsible officials regarding the requirements necessary for the operations to function effectively, it’s reported.
