Heavy rainfall and flooding have once again damaged agricultural lands and greenhouses in Amasya, Turkiye. The affected areas had already been flooded on May 16 after the Yesilirmak River overflowed following extreme weather conditions. A downpour lasting about 15 minutes struck the villages, causing further damage to cultivated fields and greenhouse facilities.

Small-scale floods were also reported across the region after the rainfall. Teams from the State Hydraulic Works continue their efforts in the area without interruption. Meanwhile, the water level of the Yesilirmak River has visibly increased once again, raising concerns among local residents and farmers.
