Egyptian FM meets Tunisian and Algerian counterparts in Egypt to discuss Libya

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty hosted Algerian counterpart Ahmed Attaf and Tunisian counterpart Mohamed Ali Nafti in Cairo on Thursday for the fourth ministerial meeting of the Libya Neighboring Countries Mechanism.

The Minister reaffirmed their unified stance on stabilizing Libya, calling for an immediate and inclusive political process under United Nations auspices, specifically demanding conditions to hold simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections. The Ministers also held separate consultations with the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Libya, to ensure regional coordination aligns directly with UN-led stabilization roadmaps.
