Preparation Measures: Reopening of basic education schools

Chief Minister of Rakhine State U Naing Oo on May 20 inspected the preparation measures for reopening of basic education schools in Sittwe.

He visited Basic Education Primary School (Mingan) and No.9 Basic Education High School and heard reports on preparations for 2026-2027 academic year, arrival of text books and stationery and requirements of the schools. The Chief Minister instructed for ensuring enrollment of all school-going-aged children including those out of school for various circumstances, better sanitation system and other facilities, availability of clean drinking water, electricity access and facelifting measures.
