French National Assembly approves additional 36 billion for armed forces

The French National Assembly approved on Tuesday a bill to allocate an additional €36 billion to the armed forces through 2030, passing the update to the Military Programming Act in its first reading.

The funds are also dedicated to accelerating rearmament and modernizing military infrastructure in response to escalating geopolitical threats. It was known that funds will expand the nuclear deterrent and invest heavily in space communications, intelligence, and early-warning systems.
