Inspecting storage of MEVMs: UEC Chairman inspected storage of MEVMs in Mandalay

Chairman of the Union Election Commission, U Than Soe, along with Commission members inspected the storage of Myanmar Electronic Voting Machines (MEVMs) used in 25 townships of Mandalay Region during the 2025 general election Wednesday morning.

The UEC Chairman instructed that careful attention be given to ensuring the voting machines are not damaged. In the afternoon, the Chairman met with members and staff of the regional supervisory team for MEVMs in Mandalay Region, as well as commission members at the region, district, and township levels.

He discussed that the completed election has been recorded as a fair election and one that received public support. He urged everyone to continue striving to the best of their abilities for future elections as well. On Tuesday, UEC Chairman inspected voting machines stored in Pyin Oo Lwin and met with district and township-level election commission members and staff in Pyin Oo Lwin District.
