Graduation Ceremony: Graduation Ceremony of NYRDDC held

The graduation ceremony for the 19th intake of Arts and Science students and the job appointment letter presentation ceremony of the Nationalities Youth Resource Development Degree College (Sagaing) for the 2025-2026 academic year was held Tuesday morning at the college's convocation hall in Ohn Taw Village, Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region.

In his congratulatory address, Union Minister Lt-Gen Phone Myat stated that during the swearing-in ceremony of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, U Min Aung Hlaing, had provided guidance: "For the new generation youths who will shoulder the responsibilities of the future state, the education sector must be upgraded inevitably to ensure they become internationally competitive skilled professionals and knowledgeable individuals, and to cultivate comprehensive human development with the fivefold strength."

The Union Minister urged that in accordance with this guidance, the graduate youth must continuously study and acquire further knowledge and skills based on what they have already learned, striving to become civil servants with comprehensive fivefold strength.

Subsequently, the Union Minister presented excellence awards to one male student who excelled in Arts and one female student who excelled in Science. Representatives from four ministries then presented job appointment letters to 207 graduating male and female students.

Afterwards, the Union Minister and the Chief Minister of Sagaing Region met with the award-winning students and their parents, offering words of encouragement and congratulations, and posed for group commemorative photos together with the graduating students.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister and officials met with the Principal, Vice-Principal, Professors, and Department Heads at the degree college's meeting hall. After the Principal presented matters concerning the degree college, the Union Minister coordinated and provided necessary support and resolutions.

He also presented cash of honor for the staff and students. Continuing, the Union Minister inspected the Anthropology Museum, dormitories, lecture halls, computer practical rooms, the Language Lab hall, the four-story engineering workshop, the site planned for an indoor stadium construction, the site planned for a two-story female student dormitory, and catfish farming.

He then had lunch together with the students. On the evening of May 18, the Union Minister and the Sagaing Region Chief Minister hosted a pre-graduation congratulatory dinner for the graduating students at the convocation hall, where they watched and encouraged the students' cultural performances, and presented congratulatory flowers and cash prizes.

Similarly, on the morning of May 18, accompanied by responsible officials, the Union Minister visited the University for the Development of the National Races of the Union (Sagaing). He met with the Rector, Pro-Rectors, Professors, and Department Heads at the university's meeting hall.

After the Rector presented matters concerning the university, the Union Minister coordinated and provided necessary support and resolutions. He also presented cash of honor for the staff and students. Afterwards, the Union Minister and officials inspected the library, canteen, animal feed mixing plant, modern football field with spectator stands, and the indoor stadium. He then had lunch together with the students at the dining hall. Following this, he inspected the male and female student dormitories, the courses conducted during the summer school break, and the livestock and agricultural activities carried out for welfare purposes, providing necessary support and arrangements, it’s reported.
