Meeting with Youth Organizations: MOYA UM held meeting with youth organizations

Union Minister for Youth Affairs Dr. Maung Thein held a meeting with responsible officials from youth organizations within the Union Territory of Nay Pyi Taw Monday morning at the Mingalar Thiri Hotel Hall in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, the Union Minister delivered an opening speech, stating that for the long-term development of the nation, it is essential that the country’s youth not only possess knowledge, skills, and the five strengths, but also be filled with patriotism and national spirit in order to become the dependable human resources of the nation.

He added that there are currently more than 16 million young people in the country and emphasized that in order to nurture capable and qualified youth for the nation, it would be more effective and successful if the government, the public, and NGO organizations cooperated collectively.

Afterward, officials from organizations who attended the event raised questions, made suggestions, and discussed matters related to education and youth development. In response, the Union Minister explained that the Ministry of Youth Affairs would implement youth development activities based on seven policies, seven objectives, ten work programs, and sixteen youth sectors. He also discussed matters relating to cooperation in opening educational schools and vocational training courses conducted by ministries, as well as issues concerning employment opportunities, it’s reported.
