G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors arrived in Paris on May 18 for a two-day meeting focused on global economic instability, inflation risks, energy prices, trade tensions, and the economic impact of the Iran conflict.

The gathering is part of France’s 2026 G7 presidency and serves as preparation for the upcoming 52nd G7 Summit. Officials discussed rising global bond yields, inflation driven by higher oil and energy prices, trade imbalances, critical mineral supply chains and economic fallout from Middle East tensions.
