Mobile Medical Units: Provision of on-site medical services inspected

Union Minister for Labour U Khin Maung Soe visited Mama instant noodle factory of the Ayeyarwaddy Success Centure Foods Co., Ltd. in Sintgaing Township, Mandalay Region, and the Chang Jiang garment factory in Meiktila Monday to inspect the provision of on-site medical treatment services through Mobile Medical Units for 1,531 insured workers.

During the visits, the Union Minister warmly met and encouraged the insured workers. Afterward, the Union Minister explained the ministry’s expanded initiatives for workers during the first 100 days of the new government, as well as efforts being made in accordance with the Social Security Law to ensure that insured workers receive the benefits they are entitled to under the relevant insurance systems.

In response to presentations made by business owners and HR managers, the Union Minister gave guidance, stating that as workplaces become more peaceful, safe, and free from hazards, and as workplace accidents and occupational diseases decrease, it will greatly contribute to improving productivity. The Union Minister and officials also observed and encouraged workers carrying out their duties peacefully inside the factories, it’s reported.
