Combating Online Frauds: Crackdown on online gambling in Muse

Authorities have arrested 38 people involved in online gambling operations in Muse’s Swam Saw Ward.

The group included 4 Chinese nationals, 34 Myanmar citizens. Seized items included 155 mobile phones, 30 all-in-one computers, 10,000 Chinese yuan, 1 million Myanmar kyats, and 2 Crown-type vehicles.

Later on the same day, 4 additional Myanmar men were arrested from another house in the ward, along with 95 mobile phones, 1 laptop, and 2 Wi-Fi devices.

The government emphasized its commitment to preventing online fraud and gambling nationwide, working in coordination with local authorities and neighboring countries. All suspects and seized items will be handled according to existing laws.
