During his official visit to the Netherlands, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi oversaw a landmark agreement between Dutch tech giant ASML and Tata Electronics to support India's first front-end semiconductor fabrication plant in Dholera, Gujarat.

The deal also includes the upcoming Dholera plant with an $11 billion investment to produce chips for the AI sector, automotive industry, and mobile technology. Witnessed by Modi and his Dutch counterpart Rob Jetten, the pact aims to scale up India’s microchip manufacturing capabilities to help achieve its target of producing 20% of the world's chips by 2030.
