Peace and Stability: Efforts for public security and peace in Yangon

Efforts are being accelerated for ensuring peace and stability and rule of law in Yangon Region.

As part of the effort, the Region's Police Force is carrying out activities such as educative talks on crime prevention and pamphlets distribution while patrolling in the community wards across 45 wards of Yangon Region. In addition, search and check measures are also carried out along the traffics.

On Saturday, Insein District Police Force conduct such activities across three townships in the district, covering Insein, Hlaingthaya (East) and Hlaingthaya (West).

Myo Aung Myint, Police Lt-Col, Insein District Police Force said "We are prioritizing to reduce crimes rate in the region in line with six work plans of Myanmar Police Force. It includes prevention, investigation and filing lawsuit, ensuring peace and stability, public security, prevention drug trafficking and contributing to the public interest works."

In cooperation with the staff from General Administration Department, ward/village administration bodies, people's security members, and Auxiliary Fire Brigade members, the Myanmar Police Force provides 24 hour patrolling services in the region.

Myo Aung Myint, Police Lt-Col, Insein District Police Force said "We have assigned four assignments for patrolling from 6 am to 6 pm, 6 pm to 12 midnight and 12 midnight to 3 am and 3 am to 6 am. We are making to ensure 24 hour coverage of patrolling in the community."

These activities are being implemented as part of the government's 100-day plan under the guidance of the President.
