Iranian Foreign Minister meets with Malaysian counterpart

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Malaysia Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan on the sidelines of the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New Delhi this week. According to Iranian state media, the two diplomats discussed regional security, developments in West Asia, and strengthening bilateral relations between Iran and Malaysia.

Araghchi reportedly described the recent regional conflict as a “turning point” for West Asia and emphasized that regional security is interconnected. The meeting comes amid wider diplomatic activity at the BRICS gathering, where Iran has been holding talks with several countries regarding regional tensions, energy security, and geopolitical cooperation.
