Xi meets with UNESCO Chief, calling for collaboration with UNESCO

Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Khaled El-Enany, Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in Beijing on Tuesday, calling for deepening collaboration with UNESCO in AI, open science, and digital education.

At the meeting, Xi expressed China's commitment to deepening strategic cooperation with UNESCO to benefit all countries and to support the UN's role in global governance. The meeting brought together two sides to strengthen cooperation, particularly with Global South countries, to promote cultural preservation and mutual learning among civilizations.
