China’s Unitree unveils manned transformable 'mecha' robot suit

Chinese robotics pioneer Unitree unveiled its first piloted, transformable 'mecha', the GD01. Featuring a dedicated cockpit for human pilots, the robot suit is capable of transforming into a quadrupedal walker. Billed as the world's first production ready manned mecha, the GD01 can transform, operate as a civilian vehicle, and weighs about 500 kg with a person inside.
