Coordination Meeting: Meeting focused on basic education development

The coordination meeting for the development of basic education schools for the 2026-2027 academic year, was held on May 11 at the meeting hall of the Chin State Government Office in Hakha.

Chin State Chief Minister Dr. Wong Sun Htan stated that the educational process, like agriculture, is a task that must be carried out in a timely manner. He emphasized that the objective of education is not solely to achieve high exam pass rates, but to nurture students to become well-rounded individuals possessing the fivefold moral and physical development, and to grow into youth whom the people can rely on and trust etc.

Subsequently, the State Minister for Social Affairs U Sein Tun Hla, District and Township Education Officers from the State, principals of basic education high schools, middle schools, and primary schools, as well as principals from private schools in Hakha, discussed and presented points concerning the development of basic education schools.

Following the presentations, State Ministers provided their insights and supplementary discussions. The State Chief Minister then coordinated the necessary requirements and delivered the closing speech, it’s reported.
