Queen Mathilde visits Turkey, met Erdogan in Istanbul

Turkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Queen Mathilde of Belgium in Istanbul during her visit to Turkiye. Relations between the two countries and regional issues were discussed during the meeting.
Erdoğan emphasized that recent developments in the region have once again demonstrated the geopolitical importance of Turkiye -European Union relations. Queen Mathilde is in Turkiye as part of an “Economic Mission.”
