Opening of Industrial Trainings: MOIMSMED UM delivered the opening speech

The opening ceremony of Industrial Proficiency Course No. 14 and Garment Manufacturing Course No. 3 was held Monday morning at Industrial Training School No. 2 (Mandalay) in Mandalay Region.

At the ceremony, Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr. Charlie Than, attending via virtual system from the meeting hall of Office No. 30, in Nay Pyi Taw, urged the attendees, stating that the government is conducting training courses to ensure the availability of skilled workers for domestic MSMEs.

He emphasized that the enhancement of citizens' knowledge and skills can greatly contribute to the nation's productivity, and that continuous learning and active engagement in the industrial and technological world will lead to success. Subsequently, Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung delivered a speech and then inspected the practical training workshops of the Industrial Proficiency One-Year Course and the garment training facilities.

The Course No. 14, which will train 77 trainees (male and female) in six subjects, will conduct theoretical and practical training for one year from May 11, 2026, to March 23, 2027. Course No. 3 will provide one month of training to 20 female trainees from May 11 to June 4, it’s reported.
