Rehabilitation Measures: Prefabricated Houses for quake-hit religious buildings

China donated Prefabricated Houses to quake affected monasteries and nunneries in quake affected areas, following the powerful earthquake in March 2025.

On  9th May, Union Minister for Religious Affairs U Tin Oo Lwin inspected the arrival of Prefabricated Houses at Nay Pyi Taw’s Ywa Taw Station and transshipment operations.

This shipment is part of the distribution of 814 Prefabricated Houses to the respective monasteries and nunneries in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, Mandalay and Sagaing Regions. It includes 192 Prefabricated Houses and will be further transported to quake affected monasteries and nunneries in 8 townships of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.
