Legal Advocacy: 100-day plan of the Ministry of Legal Affairs

The Ministry of Legal Affairs clarified the 100-day plan of the ministry to the region/ state Advocates General and law officers on Sunday.

The plan includes ensuring rule of law and equal legal rights for all citizens. Union Minister and Union Attorney General Dr Thida Oo urged all to be free from corruption and bribery and to supervise the administrative matters. She also stressed for systematic scrutiny process of the bills and reviewing the existing laws for ensuring consistency in law procedure, while amending the laws and bylaws to be in conformity with the current trend of age.

During the 100-day plan, legal knowledge will be provided to the ward and village administrators, who work closely with the public. In addition, a Certificate Course on Legal Advocacy will be conducted for high level service personnel from regions and states. Moreover, work process of Pilot Law Offices will be expanded, while conducting Diploma in Legal Advocacy, practical training for law students, and knowledge sharing courses for lawyers.
