Livestock Sector: Meeting with breeders and farmers

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung on Saturday met with livestock entrepreneurs and farmers in Kyaukse and Pyin Oo Lwin Township.

During the meeting, the Union Minister discussed dairy and beef cattle breeding, use of quality breeding stock, disease prevention, feed supply, and legal access to vacant, fallow and virgin land for livestock operations. 

The compliance with the Farmland Law and procedures for applying for land-use permits and Form-7 registration were also discussed. Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation Dr. Thaung Naing Oo also explained the objectives of forest reserve establishment and forest conservation measures.
