World Cup to hold trio of star-studded opening ceremonies

International governing body FIFA confirmed on Friday that the 2026 World Cup will feature a trilogy of opening ceremonies across three host nations such as Mexico, the United States and Canada. It believed that each ceremony will reflectthe host nation's culture, including Cumbia music in Mexico, Canadian homegrown artists, and a global pop crossover in Los Angeles, USA.

It is also the first time a World Cup has had multiple opening ceremonies in different countries, reflecting the extensive scope of the 2026 tournament.FIFA stated the ceremonies are united by a central idea of a shared heartbeat, with fans promised an active role in the shows.
