Moscow begins Victory Day parade on Red Square

The 2026 Moscow Victory Day parade was held on Saturday to commemorate the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in World War 2.

Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the parade and made a speech. For the first time in nearly 20 years, the parade features no hardwares, focusing only on marching troops. Troops from North Korea took part in the parade for the first time, according to the state television broadcast of the ceremony.
