More than half of Lebanon’s population depends on humanitarian aid as Israeli attacks continue despite a ceasefire in the conflict with militant group Hezbollah.

European Union crisis management chief Hadja Lahbib said over three million people rely on aid to survive, with 100 million euros mobilized since March to support those displaced by the fighting. For a ceasefire to lead to lasting peace, the EU stressed that Hezbollah must end its attacks and be disarmed, while Israel must stop targeting civilian infrastructure, including bridges, hospitals, and schools.
