US, Europe need each other, says Italian FM after talks with Rubio

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said the United States “needs Europe and Italy” following bilateral talks with visiting US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Rome, emphasizing the importance of transatlantic unity and cooperation.

Speaking after the meeting, Tajani said discussions focused on the Middle East and relations between Europe and the United States. He reaffirmed Italy’s support for all initiatives aimed at achieving a permanent ceasefire in the region and encouraged dialogue regarding Iran. Tajani stressed that Europe and the United States remain closely linked, adding that “the unity of the West is fundamental.”
