





World Red Cross Day observed at the Headquarters of Myanmar Red Cross Society in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.
Union Minister for Health Professor Dr Thet Khaing Win attended the event and made a speech, highlighting the contribution of the Red Cross members in humanitarian works and disaster resilient measures. He urged all to strengthen the preparedness works to be readied in time of emergency, while accelerating the public health services. The outstanding red cross members were awarded during the ceremony.
Myanmar is a member country of 191-nation World Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. This year's theme for World Red Cross Day is "United in Humanity", highlighting to take value on humanitarian works amidst the challenges and diversities while uniting among the volunteers.
