Agricultural Sector: Efforts for agricultural production

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is making efforts for development of agriculture and livestock sector in Mandalay Region.

On May 7, Union Minister U Min  Naung visited Lin Mway Chaung Village in Madaya township, to oversee the applying fertilizer process in a 30-acre summer paddy field.

After  the inspection, Regional Hluttaw Representative and farmers reported on agricultural production and regional development measures and the Union Minister coordinated the needs.

Earlier in the morning, the Union Minister visited Research and Technological Development Farm for staple cotton crops in Kyauske township and observed the staple cotton research farm, high-quality pure cotton seeds production process and synchronized cotton harvesting demonstration field.

After that, the Union Minister met with the responsible officials and urged to cultivate the crops with rotation system in departmental farms. In Indaing village-tract in Kyauske township, the Union Minister met with farmers at 100-acre summer paddy field, and urged them to produce standard quality seeds.
