US State Department officials said on Thursday that Israel and Lebanon will hold a third round of direct talks in Washington next week amid an extended fragile ceasefire. The meeting will include representatives from both Israel and Lebanon, along with US mediators.

For the first time, delegations were expected to include military representatives alongside diplomatic personnel, indicating a shift toward discussing concrete security measures. The talks aim to address the 13 disputed points along the Blue Line, finalize mechanisms for a lasting truce, and work toward a full withdrawal of troops.
