Erdogan welcomes Algerian President Tebboune to Ankara

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Wednesday at Ankara’s Esenboga Airport on an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.

Tebboune is visiting Ankara at Erdogan’s invitation and held talks with the Turkish president at the presidential complex. The two leaders co-chaired the first meeting of the Türkiye-Algeria High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, where bilateral relations and regional issues are expected to be discussed.

Officials said the talks would focus on steps to further enhance cooperation between the two countries, while several agreements aimed at strengthening the legal framework of bilateral ties are also expected to be signed during the visit.
